Mario I. Aguilar explores the textual and historical dimensions of Christian-Hindu encounter, drawing on Indian religious texts and contemplative traditions. He holds the chair of Religion and Politics at the University of St Andrews in Scotland, where he also directs the Centre for the Study of Religion and Politics. His published work spans interreligious dialogue, Hindu monasticism, and the history of Christian engagement with Indian religious thought.
