Manjiri Shreeram Rao

Manjiri Shreeram Rao (also known as Dr. Manjiri Shreeram Deo) writes in Marathi on the theory and practice of Kathak classical dance in Nṛtyasaurabha: Kaṭṭhak (नृत्यसौरभ: कथ्थक), published by Dr. Manjiri Shreeram Deo, Thane. Regarded as the first detailed Marathi exposition of Kathak, the book received the Maharashtra Government's award for Best Literature. A holder of a PhD from Indira Kala Sangeet University, Khairagadh, she has trained students for over four decades at her institution Shree Ganesh Nritya Kala Mandir, and also taught as visiting faculty at Shivaji University.
