Madhulika Banerjee

Madhulika Banerjee is a Professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of Delhi, with a strong research interest in the politics of knowledge, particularly concerning medical knowledge systems like Ayurveda. She obtained her PhD with a thesis on "Power, Culture, Medicine: Ayurvedic Pharmaceuticals in India." In her book, "Power, Knowledge, Medicine: Ayurvedic Pharmaceuticals at Home and in The World," Banerjee explores the emergence of the Ayurvedic pharmaceutical industry and how modern science and colonial states influenced its development.
