M. Suresh Rao surveys economic models aimed at improving livelihoods for underprivileged rural women in India. An alumnus of IIM Ahmedabad, he served as Chairperson of the Centre for Entrepreneurship at S. P. Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJIMR), Mumbai, drawing on corporate and entrepreneurship experience. He co-authored Livelihoods for Women: Multi-Agency Models in India with K. G. Karmakar and Nirja Mattoo, which analyses multi-agency approaches to women's micro-enterprise in rural India.
