Late K. V. Abhyankar and G. V. Devasthali

Kashinath Vasudev Abhyankar (1890–1976) was a distinguished 20th-century scholar of Sanskrit grammar (Vyākaraṇa), widely recognized for his profound knowledge of Patañjali's Mahābhāṣya and the Pāṇinian tradition. Associated with the Bhandarkar Oriental Research Institute (BORI) in Pune, he authored numerous scholarly articles and edited important grammatical texts. Alongside G. V. Devasthali, he co-edited Vedavikrtilaksana- Samgraha-, a collection of twelve tracts on Vedavikrtis and allied topics, reflecting his significant contributions to Indological scholarship.
