Lalit Kala Akademi

Lalit Kala Akademi, India's National Academy of Art, is a central institution dedicated to promoting, documenting, and publishing on Indian visual arts. The Akademi produces an extensive range of publications, including monographs on eminent contemporary Indian artists like Amarnath Sehgal, J. Swaminathan, Nicholas Roerich, Sakti Burman, S.H. Raza, and Arpita Singh. It also publishes exhibition catalogues for significant national art events, such as the National Exhibition of Art and the Print Biennale India. The Akademi's publishing program further includes scholarly journals like Lalit Kala: A Journal of Oriental Art and Lalit Kala Contemporary, along with portfolios showcasing various traditional Indian painting schools such as Kishangarh, Ragamala, Deogarh, Bundi, Mughal, and Pahari styles, as well as folk arts.
