Kunwar Narayan

Kunwar Narayan (1927–2017) was a distinguished Indian poet, writer, and literary critic, primarily writing in Hindi. He was a recipient of many prestigious awards, including the Jnanpith Award in 2005 and the Sahitya Akademi Award for his poetry collection ‘न कश्चिदपरः Na Kaschidaparah’ in 1995. Narayan’s work is characterized by its philosophical depth and exploration of modernity. Besides poetry, he also penned short stories, essays, and critical pieces. His published works include the Akademi Award-winning Hindi poetry collection न कश्चिदपरः (Na Kaschidaparah) and the English collection The Play Of Dolls Stories.
