Krishnanand Jha (1938–2018) was a notable Mithila painter from Bihar, known for his unique Tantric art, often depicting goddesses, and was among the first male artists to work in this traditionally female-dominated style. He also held political office, serving as a former minister in the Bihar government and a three-time MLA from Madhupur. Krishnanand Jha, along with Shashinath Jha, authored `पाणिनीय व्याकरण तत्व प्रदीप:- Panini Vyakaran Tattva Pradeep`, a work on Paninian grammar, as well as collections of Sanskrit poetry like `संस्कृतकाव्यमालिका- Sanskrit Kavya Malika` and `संस्कृत गीत मलिका- Sanskrit Geet Malika`.
