Kikkeri Narayan writes on Indian theatre and women's empowerment. His book, Akka (A Dialogue on Women Through Theatre in India- Female Lead and Women's Empowerment), published by the Central Institute of Indian Languages, Mysore, explores the role of female characters and women's issues within the context of Indian theatrical traditions.
