Kavithilaka

Kavithilaka is an author of Kannada literature, whose name denotes a 'crest-jewel among poets.' Kavithilaka explores both historical and popular narrative traditions, having documented a brief history of Valmiki's descendants in his Kannada work, ವಾಲ್ಮೀಕಿ ವಂಶಜರ ಸಂಕ್ಷಿಪ್ತ ಚರಿತ್ರೆ (A Brief History of Valmiki's Descendants), and also presenting the classic moral fables in ಪಂಚತಂತ್ರ ಕಥೆಗಳು (Panchatantra Stories).
