Karl. F. Geldner

Karl Friedrich Geldner (1852–1929) was a German scholar of Avestan and Vedic Sanskrit who studied at the universities of Leipzig and Tübingen. His critical edition of the Avesta — the sacred scriptural corpus of the Parsis and of the Zoroastrian religion — was published in Stuttgart between 1885 and 1896 under the patronage of the Secretary of State for India in Council and remains a foundational reference work in Iranian and Zoroastrian studies.
