Kalyan B. Advani

Kalyan Bulchand Advani (1911–1994) was a distinguished Indian poet, critic, and scholar of Sindhi literature, and a former professor of English and Persian. He is renowned for his significant contributions to Sindhi letters, including compiling an acclaimed edition of the Shah Jo Risalo in 1958 and translating Kalidasa's Shakuntala into Sindhi. Advani received the Sahitya Akademi Award in 1968 for his scholarly work. He also penned critical monographs on pivotal Sindhi classical poets. His works include Sami- Makers of Indian Literature and Sachal Sarmast- Makers of Indian Literature, providing insights into these literary figures.
