Kalki and P. S. Sri

Kalki Krishnamurthy (1899–1954) was a Tamil writer, journalist, and independence activist, widely regarded as one of the foremost Tamil novelists of the twentieth century. Sivakamiyin Sabadam, serialized from 1944 to 1946 and published as a novel in 1948, is a historical epic set in seventh-century South India centred on the Pallava–Chalukya conflict. The English translation, Sivakami's Vow, was made by P.S. Sri, a Professor of English at the Royal Military College of Canada, and published by Sahitya Akademi.
