Kala Nath Shastri (1936–2025), born Devarshi Kala Nath Shastry, was a revered Indian Sanskrit scholar, linguist, and Indologist. Honored by the President of India in 1998, he was a prolific writer in Sanskrit, Hindi, and English, known for introducing modern idioms into Sanskrit literature and for his contributions to evolving technical terminology in Indian languages. Shastri was associated with various prominent institutions, including the Kendriya Sanskrit Board and Sahitya Akademi. He edited "Works of Panditaraj Jagannath's Poetry - Stotra Kavyas : Five Laharis."
