K. G. Saiyidain (1904–1971) was a distinguished Indian educationist, writer, and former Secretary at the Ministry of Education, Government of India. Born in Panipat, Haryana, he made significant contributions to the Indian educational sector, with a 1960 report of his reportedly serving as a blueprint for the National Service Scheme. He wrote in both Urdu and English, and his book Andhi Mein Chirag was awarded the Sahitya Akademi Award in 1963. Saiyidain also held positions as Professor of Education at Aligarh University and Director of Education for Jammu and Kashmir State, and served as a visiting professor at several international universities. He received the Padma Bhushan in 1967 for his services to Indian education.
