Jibon Krishna Goswami is an Assamese novelist and poet whose debut novel Aoleangar Jui, published in 2007, drew on his direct experience of life among the Naga people in the border region between India and Burma. Remains of Spring is the English translation of that novel, published by Oxford University Press. The book is set in the 1990s in a village situated in the contested no man's land between the two countries and was critically well received in Assam.
