JANARDAN HEGDE

Janardan Hegde is a senior scholar, author, and lifelong activist associated with Samskrita Bharati, an organization dedicated to the popularization of spoken Sanskrit. A recipient of the President's Certificate of Honour for his contributions to the language, he has authored a vast number of books designed for Sanskrit learners at all levels, from children's stories and practice workbooks to novels and grammatical guides. His works, such as बालकथासप्ततिः (Balakathasaptatih) and धातुरूपनन्दिनी (Dhatu Rupa Nandini), are widely used in the contemporary Sanskrit learning community. He has also served as the long-time editor of the Sanskrit monthly magazine 'Sambhashana Sandesha'.
