Indira Miri

Indira Miri (1910–2004), also known as Mereng, was a Padma Shri-honoured educationist who led a group of Assamese teachers to spread education among tribal communities in the North East Frontier Agency (now Arunachal Pradesh), where she served as Chief Education Officer. 'Nefa and I' is her account of those years working in one of India's most remote frontier regions.
