Homen Borgohan

Homen Borgohain (1932–2021) was a prominent Assamese author, journalist, poet, and editor. Born in Dhakuakhana, Lakhimpur, he was awarded the 1978 Sahitya Akademi Award for his novel "Pita Putra" and served as President of the Assam Sahitya Sabha. He was known for his versatile literary style and his editorial roles in various Assamese newspapers and magazines, including Nilachal, Nagarik, Amar Asom, and Niyomiya Barta. His novel "Astorag: Sunset" is a significant work in his oeuvre.
