Har Bilas Sarda (1867–1955) was born in Ajmer and had a career spanning teaching, law, and legislative service. He is widely known for introducing the Child Marriage Restraint Act of 1929 and served in the Central Legislative Assembly. As a historian, he contributed to The Indian Antiquary and the Journal of the Royal Asiatic Society, and wrote a study of the Rajput ruler Maharana Sangram Singh. His Hindi work Hindupati Maharana Sanga, published by Rajasthani Granthnagar, presents this historical biography.
