Harindra Dave

Harindra Dave (1930–1995) was an Indian Gujarati-language poet, novelist, playwright, and journalist from Gujarat. He authored over fifty works, including poetry, essays, drama, and fiction, and was recognized with the Sahitya Akademi Award in 1978 for his poetry collection, Hayati. His notable works include the novels Anaagat (1968) and Madhav Kyany Nathi (1970), which received awards from the Government of Gujarat. Dave's writings often explored themes of love and death in his lyrics and covered everyday problems in his novels. He also conducted significant research on the Krishna theme, documented in his work Krishna ane Manav Sambandho (1982). Among his works are Existence and Gandhi and His Balancing Scales (Novel), alongside Gujarati titles such as Anand Purush Shri Krishna and Krishna and Manav Sambandh.
