Gurulinga Kapse

Gurulinga Kapse (b. 1928) is a poet, folklorist, critic, and prolific writer associated with Karnataka University, Dharwar. He authored the volume on Akkamahadevi in Sahitya Akademi's Makers of Indian Literature series — monographs on writers who have significantly shaped literature in Indian languages. Akkamahadevi was a twelfth-century Kannada poet-saint and a prominent figure in the Lingayat tradition. Kapse's writings span monographs, biographies, children's literature, travelogues, translations, and edited volumes.
