Gayatri Rath

Gayatri Rath investigates the monistic philosophy of Bhartrhari, the classical Sanskrit grammarian who held Shabdabrahman — the word as ultimate reality — as the ground of all existence. Her book Bhartrhari as a Monist, published by Bharatiya Book Corporation, traces the development of linguistic monism through the Vakyapadiya and in dialogue with Vedic, Upanisadic, and Vedantic thinkers.
