GAYA CHARAN TRIPATHI

Gaya Charan Tripathi is a distinguished Sanskrit scholar and Indologist, formerly the Director of the Ganganatha Jha Kendriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha in Allahabad, where he edited numerous rare manuscripts. His scholarly work focuses on Vedic studies, Puranas, and manuscriptology. Among his publications are editions of तिरुमलभट्टविरचितम् गीतगौरीवरम् (Gitagauri Varam by Tirumala Bhatta), a Ragakavya on Shiva and Parvati, and अमृताहरणम् (Amritaharanama), a poetic appendix to the Samaveda on the Naga-Garuda story.
