Gautam Patel

Gautam Patel is an author and scholar who explores Indian knowledge systems, particularly through the translation and study of classical Sanskrit, Pali, and Prakrit literature. He has contributed to the "Contribution of Women to Sanskrit, Pali and Prakrit Literature" and published works such as "आदिशङ्करलघुप्रबन्धावलि: Adi Shankara Laghu Prabandhavalih." Patel has also provided Gujarati translations of seminal works by Mahakavi Kalidasa, including "मेघदूतम्: Meghaduta" and "अभिज्ञानशाकुन्तलम्: Abhijnana Shakuntalam," and an edition of "रघुवंशमहाकाव्यम्: Raghuvansham Mahakavyam" with Sanskrit text and Gujarati translation. His work also includes "વૈદિક સાહિત્ય અને સંસ્કૃતિ- Vedic Literature and Culture" in Gujarati, and an edition of "महाकविकालिदासविरचितम् मेघदूतम् पञ्चभाषासंवलितम्- Meghaduta of Kalidasa in Five Languages," highlighting his focus on promoting classical Indian texts across multiple languages.
