Ganga Nath Jha

Ganganath Jha (1872–1941) was an eminent Indologist and Sanskrit scholar who served as Professor of Sanskrit at Muir College, Allahabad, and later as Vice-Chancellor of the University of Allahabad from 1923 to 1932. He authored more than fifty works on Indian philosophical systems and translated many Sanskrit texts into English. For this volume he edited the Mimamsa Anukramanika of Mandana Mishra — a ninth-century philosophical work indexing the Mimamsa sutras of Jaimini — and added an original Sanskrit commentary titled Mimamsamandana.
