G.C. Tripathi

Gaya Charan Tripathi (1937–2018) was an eminent Indologist and scholar of Vedic, Puranic, and Agama studies. He served as the Director of the Ganganatha Jha Kendriya Sanskrita Vidyapeetha in Allahabad (now Prayagraj) and held research positions at several international institutions. He authored numerous books and articles on Indian religion and culture and was the editor of the Vidyapeetha's research journal.
