E. Obermiller

Eugene Obermiller (1901–1935) was a Russian orientalist and Buddhist scholar who studied under Fyodor Stcherbatsky at the University of Leningrad. He served as Research Secretary of the Mongolian Section at the Institute of Buddhist Culture in Leningrad. Together with Stcherbatsky, he co-edited the Sanskrit text and Tibetan translation of the Abhisamayalankara, published in 1929, and independently translated Bu-ston's History of Buddhism in India and Tibet and the Uttaratantra of Maitreya-Asanga.
