Dr.Satish Chandra Sankhyadhar

Dr. Satish Chandra Sankhyadhar, an alumnus of Banaras Hindu University, was a scholar of Ayurveda who undertook the English translation and critical commentary of the Raj Nighantu — also known as Abhidhana Cudamani — a classical pharmacopoeial text composed by Sh. Narhari Pandit of Kashmir. The translation was carried out under a project commissioned by the Indian National Science Academy (INSA) and was subsequently presented by his daughter, Dr. Deepika Sankhyadhar.
