Dr. Niti Adaval

Dr. Niti Adaval surveys the literary tradition surrounding Udayana, the sixth-century BCE king of Kosambi and contemporary of the Buddha, drawing evidence from Sanskrit, Pali, and Prakrit texts. Published by Chowkhamba Sanskrit Series Office as part of the Chowkhamba Sanskrit Studies series (Vol. LXXIV), her work is a philological reconstruction of one of ancient India's most widely celebrated legendary figures, noted in the works of Kalidasa and Śrīharṣa among others.
