Dr. Nirmala G. Joshi

Dr. Nirmala G. Joshi examines Ayurvedic concepts in gynaecology, systematically correlating classical Samhita teachings on women's health with contemporary medical understanding. A BAMS graduate from Poona University (1960), where she ranked first in Nidana Cikitsa and Kaumarabhritya Tantra, she produced the first comprehensive treatise in English dedicated to Ayurvedic gynaecological concepts, published by Chaukhamba Sanskrit Pratishthan.
