Dr. Namburi Hanumantha Rao

Dr. Namburi Hanumantha Rao (1919–2006) was a distinguished Ayurvedic scholar and a pioneer in Rasashastra, renowned for his scientific integration of traditional Ayurvedic principles with modern scientific thought. He established The Academy of Ayurveda and Dr. Rao's Herbal Pharma Pvt. Ltd., contributing significantly to pharmaceutical research and the standardization of Ayurvedic medicines. His notable works include Pancabhuta Theory: A Viable Concept for Application and Expertise, where he presents a modern scientific interpretation of the ancient Pancabhuta concept and postulates his 'Neurohumoral Theory' in relation to Tridosha.
