Dr. M.G. Sasibhooshan

Dr. M. G. Sasibhooshan (born 1951) is an art historian, writer, and consultant in Indology based in Thiruvananthapuram. He began his career as a sub-editor at Malayala Manorama and Mathrubhumi and subsequently taught for eighteen years at the University of Kerala. He has conducted fieldwork in over three hundred temples across South India, documenting murals, inscriptions, and wooden sculptures. His work Keralathile Dharusilppangal, published by the State Institute of Languages, Kerala, examines the tradition of daru shilpa — carved wooden imagery in Kerala temples. He also served on the executive committees of Kerala Sahithya Akademi and Kerala Kalamandalam.
