Dipanjan Rai Chaudhuri (born Kolkata, 1944) read Physics at Presidency College, earned a PhD from London, and alternated between academic research in physics, political activism, and prose writing. He worked with the Association for Protection of Democratic Rights and published research papers in physics alongside literary work; V.S. Naipaul featured him in India: A Million Mutinies Now. His A Triptych, published by Niyogi Books, gathers three novellas set in intersecting worlds.
