Devendhira Poopathy

Devendhira Poopathy is a Tamil poet born on 18 February 1969 in Palani, Tamil Nadu. His poetry collection ஆகவே நானும் (Aakavee Naanum), published by Kalachuvadu Publications, is one of five collections he has brought out, the others including Peyarchol, Velichathin Vaasanai, Andhara Meen, and Mudivattra Nanbagal. His verse draws on Tamil Sangam literature and philosophical thought. Through the literary organisation Kadavu, which he founded, he has also supported contemporary Tamil writing.
