Devarshi Kalanath Shastry

Devarshi Kalanath Shastry (15 July 1936 – 25 February 2025) was an Indologist honoured by the President of India in 1998. He served as chairman of the Rajasthan Sanskrit Academy (1995–1998) and was a member of the Kendriya Sanskrit Board, National Book Trust, and Sahitya Akademi. He authored more than two dozen books and edited an equal number in Sanskrit, Hindi, and English, including The Horizons of Sanskrit (With Special Focus on Rajasthan).
