Boyle

T. C. Boyle was born in 1948 and served as a Distinguished Professor of English at the University of Southern California. He is a regular contributor to The New Yorker and the author of more than twenty novels and short-story collections. His novel World's End won the PEN/Faulkner Award, and Drop City was a finalist for the National Book Award. East Is East (1990) explores cross-cultural collision through the story of a Japanese seaman who washes ashore on a Georgian barrier island.
