Bishnupada Chakravarty

Bishnupada Chakravarty surveys the vast narrative of the Mahabharata in systematic, episodic sequence, offering outlines, character analyses, mythological explanations, and identifications of mythical place-names. Born in 1947, he has written several books in Bengali on religion, science, and children's literature. The Penguin Companion to the Mahabharata was originally composed in Bengali and translated into English by Debjani Banerjee.
