Bhaskar Chattopadhyay

Bhaskar Chattopadhyay was a Professor of History at the University of Burdwan, West Bengal, whose scholarship focused on the society and culture of Bengal. He edited the department's History journal, including the 2000 volume, and contributed significantly to the historiography of the region. A commemorative volume, Society and Culture in Bengal: Essays in Memory of Bhaskar Chattopadhyay, was published by Routledge in recognition of his scholarly legacy.
