Bharatiya Jnanpith

Bharatiya Jnanpith is a prominent literary and research organization based in New Delhi, founded in 1944 to promote Indian knowledge and literature. It undertakes systematic research and publication of rare and unpublished works in Sanskrit, Prakrit, Pali, and Apabhramsha, encompassing subjects such as religion, philosophy, ethics, grammar, and astrology. The organization also actively fosters original contemporary literature, publishing hundreds of books annually in Hindi and other Indian languages through series like the Moortidevi Granthmala for scholarly works and the Lokodaya Granthamala for popular Hindi literature. Bharatiya Jnanpith is also recognized for administering India's highest literary honor, the Jnanpith Award, and the Moortidevi Award.
