Bertrand Odelys

Bertrand Odelys writes on the Tibetan exile community in Dharamsala, recording encounters, teachings, and daily life in the town that serves as the seat of the Tibetan government in exile. He held a PhD from Harvard and worked as a travel writer, rare book restorer, and archivist; his time in Dharamsala included restoring books from the library of the Fourteenth Dalai Lama. The book was published by the Library of Tibetan Works and Archives.
