Bechardas Jivaraj Doshi compiled દેશી શબ્દ સંગ્રહ (Desi Shabda Sangraha), a substantial Gujarati dictionary of vernacular and colloquial vocabulary, published by the University Granth Nirman Board, Ahmedabad. The work runs to over a thousand pages and is a significant reference in Gujarati lexicography and the documentation of regional language.
