B. V. Raman (Bangalore Venkata Raman, 1912–1998) was one of the most influential Indian astrologers of the twentieth century, credited with bringing Vedic astrology to international attention through his writing and editorial work. His translation of Sri Neelakanta's Prasna Tantra — a classical text on horary astrology — was published in both English and Kannada editions, the latter by Vasan Publications, Bangalore. He authored numerous works on Jyotisha and edited the influential astrological journal The Astrological Magazine for several decades.
