Arvind Gupta (born 1953) is an acclaimed Indian toy inventor, science educator, and popularizer of science. An alumnus of IIT Kanpur, he is celebrated for transforming everyday waste materials into engaging, low-cost educational toys that illustrate scientific principles. Gupta has conducted thousands of workshops in schools across India and internationally, and his work, including books like Aha! Activities and Ten Little Fingers: Ideas and Activities in Science, and numerous educational films, is widely accessible online. He was honored with the Padma Shri by the Government of India in 2018 for his pioneering efforts in making science accessible to all children.
