Anne Benjamin

Anne Benjamin is a writer, poet, and educator with roots in New South Wales, Australia. In 1984 she married an Indian-born development worker and moved with him to Chennai, where they worked on behalf of communities in need. She is an Honorary Fellow of the University of Western Sydney and an Honorary Professor of the Australian Catholic University. Saffron and Silk — An Australian in India, originally published by Melbourne's David Lovell Publishing in 2016 and by Notion Press in 2018, is her non-fiction account of crossing cultures and living through a turbulent period of modern Indian history.
