Sri Anirvan (1896–1978), born Narendra Chandra Dhar, was an Indian Hindu monk, Vedic scholar, writer, and philosopher. He is widely recognized for his Bengali translation of Sri Aurobindo's seminal work 'The Life Divine', titled দিব্য-জীবন (Dibya-Jeeban) or Divya Jeevan Prasanga, published in two volumes between 1948 and 1951. His principal contributions to scholarship also include the three-volume treatise 'Veda Mimamsa', and he wrote extensively in both Bengali and English on various aspects of Hindu philosophy, particularly Samkhya, the Upanishads, the Gita, and Vedanta. Anirvan was honored with the Rabindra award for his literary achievements.
