Andre Padoux

André Padoux (born 1920) was a French Indologist and Sanskritist renowned for his extensive work on Tantrism and its philosophical texts. His scholarship significantly contributed to the understanding of Tantric traditions, particularly in his detailed analyses and translations. Padoux is recognized for The Heart of the Yogini (The Yoginihrdaya, a Sanskrit Tantric Treatise), which features his insightful introduction, translation, and commentary on this important Sanskrit text.
