Amia Srinivasan

Amia Srinivasan holds the Chichele Chair in Social and Political Theory at All Souls College, Oxford, where she works on political philosophy, epistemology, and the history and theory of feminism. She completed her BA at Yale and her BPhil and DPhil in Philosophy at Oxford. The Right to Sex, her first book, was published in 2021, debuted as a Sunday Times bestseller, and was shortlisted for the National Book Critics Circle Award and the Orwell Prize. The collection of essays moves beyond the framework of consent to interrogate the relationships between sexual desire, discrimination, pornography, racial injustice, and capitalist structures.
