Alex Wayman

Alex Wayman (1921–2004) was an American Tibetologist and Indologist, serving as a professor of Sanskrit at Columbia University until his retirement in 1991. He earned his B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles, before joining Columbia in 1966. Wayman wrote numerous books focusing on Buddhism, particularly Tantric Buddhist themes and Buddhist logic. His work "Ethics Of Tibet: Bodhisattva Section of Tsong-Kha-Pa's Lam Rim Chen Mo" explores the ethical dimensions of Tibetan Buddhism.
