Acarya Sodhala

Acarya Sodhala compiles the Sodhala Nighantuh, a classical Ayurvedic nighantu text cataloguing approximately 2,050 medicinal substances with their synonyms, properties, and therapeutic applications. A polymath of medieval India associated with Gujarat, Sodhala was also accomplished in literature, astronomy, and grammar, and contributed the Gada Nigraha as a second major work. The Sodhala Nighantuh remains a significant reference in Dravyaguna Vigyana, the Ayurvedic study of pharmacology.
